Newmarket – York Region’s “Centres and Corridors” program continues to develop the four Regional city “centres” – and the transit “corridors” that link them. Together, these communities are home to more than 50,000 people and approximately 118,000 jobs.
“York Regional Council continues to invest in city-building infrastructure and transit,” said York Region Chairman and CEO Wayne Emmerson. “Together with our federal and provincial partners, since 1994, we have invested more than $3.2 billion to build and support these highly active urban areas.”
