Aurora’s newest hotel is set to open within the next 12 months. Not even the rain could dampen the mood as builders, town representatives and the public gathered to break ground on Microtel Inn and Suites by Wyndham located at 180 Goulding Ave. This will be the first Microtel hotel in the Greater Toronto Area as the recognized American brand spreads across Canada.
“We are extremely excited to be here,” MasterBUILT Hotels president Eric Watson said.
The hotel will feature 108 rooms and suites, some with full kitchens for extended stays, an indoor pool featuring a water slide, a fitness centre as well as meeting and function space.
