A new data center is coming to Markham, York Region with Cologix opening a 50K SQFT and 10 MW of power at their TOR4 hyperscale data center. ‘Best Built Robot in the World’: Richmond Hill Students Rock it at Robotics World Competition
Students from Richmond Hill won big at the VEX Robotics World Championship, the largest robotics competition in the world! Two teams competed, both placing in the top divisions. One of the teams took home the very impressive “Build Award,” meaning they created the best built robot in the world! This is incredibly impressive considering the hardships the pandemic has puts students through. It’s an example of what can be done through hard work, innovation, and community support. Congratulations to both teams! York Region is home to strong school systems with connections to various post-secondary institutions, supporting continuous development of future talent.

Digitcom Telecommunications, a Markham headquartered digital service provider, has acquired 6Telecom a Quebec-based telecoms solution provider. This acquisition expands Digitcom’s network reach into Eastern Canada and the greater Montreal area.
Markham Headquartered Enghouse Systems Acquires Amsterdam-based Nebu BV
Markham headquartered software solutions provider Enghouse Systems has acquired Netherlands-based Nebu BV, a market research and data analytics provider. The addition of their new software and cloud services allows researchers to get more in depth understandings of consumer behaviors, increasing quality of service, and expanding the company’s global reach.
