Magna International Inc has announced that it recently made an investment to expand its existing collaboration with Innoviz Technologies Ltd, which is a developer of solid-state LiDAR technology. Magna has been steadily expanding its overall suite of sensor technologies and features that enable Level 3/4/5 autonomous driving capabilities, and incorporation of Innoviz’s LiDAR technology would enhance this, the company noted. Magna first started collaborating with Innoviz in December, 2016.
