aerial artist rendering of VMCFor any downtown there ought to be a cultural centre, and that’s exactly what’s happening for Vaughan’s emerging core. The new cultural centre at the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre (VMC) is on the south side of Highway 7, directly across from a new transit hub.

The project is to cater to a projected population boom of up to 30 per cent by 2031. It is in proximity — six minutes — to the VMC subway station and minutes from York University and the new Niagara University campus in Vaughan.
