York Region is hosting a tour of the Newmarket Urban Centres and Yonge + Davis Corridors. The area, served by bus rapid transit and GO Rail services, will be transformed into a mixed-use, compact community for people of all ages.
Come and hear from Regional and Newmarket staff on how the Newmarket Urban Centres and Yonge + Davis Corridors are being developed as part of our city building initiatives.
The 1.5 hour tour will include a bus ride with stops along Yonge Street and Davis Drive, showcasing areas of transition, new developments and different character areas. The tour will begin and end at the York Region Administrative Building (17250 Yonge Street).

York Region is currently undertaking the Municipal Comprehensive Review (MCR) process to update the Regional Official Plan. The updated Official Plan will guide decisions on land use planning and infrastructure delivery, while building on direction provided through provincial planning documents.
