The Ontario government is investing $293,800 to upskill 150 jobseekers through Aurora-based Stem Minds Corporation’s The Future of Food and Farming: Innovations in Horticulture and Indoor Agriculture project. This initiative, executed in partnership with King City’s Boreal Farms, targets skill gaps in the Newmarket region’s agriculture sector.
It provides immersive learning experiences, an industry-relevant curriculum, and community engagement activities focused on horticulture, indoor agriculture and sustainable food production.
