Newmarket wins municipality of the year for its festivals and special events for second year in a row

It’s a repeat for Newmarket. The town has scored back-to-back wins from Festival & Events Ontario as Municipality of the Year for its special events in the mid-sized municipality category, with a population of 50,000 to 150,000.

Every year, thousands of Newmarket residents and visitors from the Greater Toronto Area flock to Newmarket events, such as Tim Hortons Canada Day, TD Newmarket Music Series, the Pride Parade and the town’s newest addition, Ice Lounge on Main presented by Mercedes-Benz Newmarket.
