Canada’s Agriculture Day recognizes the vital role the agri-food sector, including farmers, food processors, food distributors, restaurants and grocery stores play in supporting our communities and our economy. It is also an opportunity to recognize more than 700 farm-based businesses and 270 food and beverage manufacturers who call York Region home.
Today we thank the many hardworking farmers across York Region who work to keep food on our plates and support healthy communities.

The best way to celebrate Canada’s Agriculture Day is to eat local, and the best way to find local food products is through the York Farm Fresh Mobile App!
The York Farm Fresh Multilingual App features the 36 Farms and 8 Farmers’ Markets listed in the York Farm Fresh Guide Map. In addition to the English version it is translated into 7 languages to help our diverse communities access fresh, local food.
