York University’s new Markham Campus is prioritizing experiential education, particularly through its innovative biotechnology programs. According to Dan Palermo, interim deputy provost, the campus was designed to offer students hands-on learning experiences and aligns with the university’s broader goal of expanding experiential education across the institution. “This is what students are asking for,” Palermo said. “It prepares them more effectively for the workforce.”
