According to the latest results, students in both the York Region District School Board (YRDSB) and York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) continue to exceed provincial averages in all areas of testing.
Among grade 3 students in YRDSB, 81 per cent met or exceeded the provincial standards in reading, 82 per cent in writing and 74 per cent in mathematics. Among grade 3 students in YCDSB, 81 per cent met or exceeded the provincial standards in reading, 84 per cent in writing and 68 per cent in mathematics. This compares with provincial averages of 74 per cent, 73 per cent and 62 per cent respectively.
