TORONTO & NEWMARKET, Feb. 21, 2017 /CNW/ – Today, Oxford Properties Group announced their plans for the redevelopment and expansion of the former Target location at Upper Canada Mall in Newmarket, Ontario. The redevelopment includes the introduction of a one-level, 64,000 sq. ft. Sport Chek location, a 40,000 sq. ft. first-to-market Food Market concept, a new two-level feature court space and a 35,000 sq. ft. vertical expansion. Construction officially commenced earlier this month and the redevelopment is scheduled to open in 2018.
The Food Market concept will be a quality driven attraction with a strong focus on the local community and will create a unique food experience. It will be a place of convenience and comfort, and a reflection of simpler times. It will allow customers a one-stop shop, while complimenting the other amenities the mall continues to offer. The Food Market will elevate the food shopping experience allowing customers to re-discover the joys of quality food with a premium alternative to what exists today.
