In our latest #YRtech series interview we’re catching up with industry-leading spa and wellness software company, Book4Time. Headquartered in Markham, York Region this scale-up is seeing impressive growth on a global-scale and hiring at a rapid pace. We caught up with their team to ask a few questions about their presence at Collision, the future of their industry, and what they are looking for in prospective tech talent.
With such a large and varied audience attending Collision, who does Book4Time hope to connect with at the conference and why?
We’re excited to attend the fastest growing technology conference in North America and we expect there to be plenty of influential attendees. Since we are an emerging software company, we are excited to connect with other technology companies, stay up-to-date with innovations in the industry, and exhibit our software.
We are also excited to attend various speaker sessions hosted by founders and CEOs of a wide array of tech companies. Apart from that, we are hoping to connect with professionals looking for career opportunities in the technology/SaaS industry, as we are always looking for new talent to join our team.
Can you talk about the technology Book4Time will be demonstrating within the #YRtech Experience Pavilion and offer some thoughts on being part of this unique regional technology showcase at Collision?
We are thrilled to be a part of the York Region Technology and Innovation Pavilion. Being headquartered in York Region allows us to make strategic connections with industry partners, recruit top talent, and expand in this evolving innovative ecosystem.
We can’t wait to be on display among other tech start-up and scale-up companies in the regional pavilion.
We will be providing a short demonstration of our software, handing out giveaways, and seeking new talent for career opportunities at Book4Time! Did you know that Book4Time was the first in the industry to offer a cloud-based management software for the spa and wellness industry.
We are the preferred wellness technology solution for the world’s largest and most prestigious spa, beauty and wellness brands on a global scale. Key accounts include: Four Seasons, Hyatt, Marriott, Hilton, Shangri-La, Canyon Ranch, Accor Hotels, and Clarins.
Looking into the future, how will technology continue to transform your company and industry?
We continually add new, innovative features and products that serve the wellness industry as a whole. There’s lots of room for new and innovative products and services in the wellness industry that haven’t been developed yet.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is playing an important role across several industries and we think it will make its mark in the wellness market in the near future.
Within spa software itself, it can help with marketing automation, reporting, streamline booking, and even help with attracting new customers. AI will take spa management to a whole new level by maximizing operational efficiency.
For tech talent on the hunt for a career in this area of tech what skills will set them apart?
Drive and ambition to grow and be a part of a team. A developer is more than someone that can just code, it is someone who can connect the dots and look at the big picture. The more understanding a candidate has on the product or software for the company they want to work for has, the more successful they will be.
