MARKHAM, Ontario — ventureLAB and Women of Influence are pleased to announce a new partnership to expand Tech Undivided, a ventureLAB initiative launched in early 2020 with a $1.7-million investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), to create an inclusive tech ecosystem that increases representation by reducing unconscious bias related to founders who are raising investment capital or generating new revenue through customers or strategic partnerships.
Tech Undivided enables female founders to raise capital to scale and to secure customers to drive revenue growth, leveraging a gender-parity network of industry experts who are leaders in innovation, scaling global enterprises, and champions of merit-based inclusivity.
Women of Influence is one of North America’s leading organizations offering solutions for workplace gender equality and women’s advancement. Through global events, digital media, signature awards, and consulting, Women of Influence reaches a diverse community of professional women and men across Canada and internationally. Women of Influence bring a strong network and expertise to support female entrepreneurs to rebuild after the business impacts of COVID-19 and obtain the knowledge and skills to commercialize technologies.
Tech Undivided includes access to monthly skill-building workshops, opportunities for investment and funding, and access to a purpose-built, merit-based gender balanced Strategic Mentor Network of industry leaders to guide founders as they navigate the market and scale their businesses. The partnership strengthens our continued work to put women entrepreneurs on the most sustainable path to growth through customer revenue and investment capital. Women of Influence will help companies improve their brand visibility, increase revenue opportunities and assist them in growing their professional network to assist with key business areas like sales, marketing and investment readiness.
