King City parents have helped, promoted, and supported him on Instagram, especially the soccer dads since there’s a soccer field right next door to his house, which is in the Keele Street and King Road area.

Vince Freda got the idea for his King City-based business while visiting the south of France. His sister lives there and he visited her in 2014. During his stay, she took him to an ice-cream shop at a marina. “This is so cute! Wouldn’t that work in King City?” he thought. Freda obviously thought it would. The grand opening of King Scoops ice cream was Wednesday, Aug. 30.
