When Jay Reesor moved into the property where Reesor Farm Market now sits — on Ninth Line and Elgin Mills — in 1985, it was a childhood dream come true.

“I have been selling stuff from the side of the road my whole life,” he explained. Reesor grew up on a farm on Warden Avenue in Stouffville where his dad grew a few acres of sweet corn.
