AbbVie Canada, a world-leading biopharmaceutical company, has been operating in Markham for more than a decade and is moving to a new — still in Markham — space to accommodate its growth and expansion. On Open House Day Nov. 27, the company announced that it would be partnering with Tree Canada to plant a tree for every one of its 1,100 employees across Canada in honouring the deep and strong roots in Markham since 1989.
